    Description

Routers are an important part of automation; they let you branch your workflows onto separate paths. Filters control data that is passed along these routes (paths?) based on one or multiple conditions.  In this course, you will be introduced to these important tools, and the concepts of AND/OR conditions. You will apply these to your scenario and learn how to efficiently schedule your scenario to run at intervals.

    What You Will Learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Send your data on different paths by utilizing routers
Filter data to different routes based on one or several conditions
Define the time and frequency at which you run your automation
Run your automation for the first time

    Learning journey

Expanding my first scenario is part of the Make Foundation Learning Path. To get the most out of this content, we recommend completing these courses in the intended order.

This course is perfect for users who are new to Make, who have built their first scenario, and who are ready to take this to the next level.

A router allows you to process data toward a specific goal, depending on your needs. A filter allows specific data to be passed - or restricted- within the flow of a scenario.

Being able to control the flow of your data based on routes and conditions will allow you greater control of your data. Scheduling your scenario will allow you to run your scenario at set intervals.

You will use the Weather App, and Google Sheets in the use cases for this course. You will also use some of the inbuilt tools in Make: Filters, and Routers.

Once you have learned these important concepts, we recommend you following the learning path and continue to Introduction to operations, where you will learn about a core part of Make.
